Parenting Teens by Arthur R. Bauer and Phyllis North Lewis

I would like to share a new book with you called "What's Your Problem? How to Solve 104 of the Most Challenging Problems for Teenagers and Parents" by Arthur R. Bauer and Phyllis North Lewis. I was fortunate enough to meet Arthur R. Bauer, a respected filmmaker here in Des Moines, Iowa and was so impressed by his work and the book itself that I encouraged him to distribute it online and offer it to my online groups.   Arthur R. Bauer and Phyllis North Lewis have created actual skit scripts to guide you into a more understanding and respectful relationship with your teen. The scripts are full of love, understanding, respect, and firm yet gentle guidelines...the same methods we use in Waldorf, Montessori and Earthschooling our younger children.   I especially like the "script" format. After years of doing plays and storytelling using the Waldorf method it is such a familiar format for me. And having a sample script for each scenerio is so much easier than having a book tell me, "do it this way" but not telling me what exactly to do!
Here is a description of the book from the website:   What's Your Problem? How to Solve 104 of the Most Challenging Problems for Teenagers and Parents  - with scenarios written like film scripts.

This is a dynamic reference book, like no other, literally. What's Your Problem contains 104 of the toughest problems (and solutions) teenagers and parents experience today. The solutions are written in film script dialogue only two to three pages long.  So, your answers (including what to say dialogue) are specific, quick, to the point and comprehensive.

Here's all you do. Turn to the Problem Section and find your problem, then turn to the Solution Section find the right page and learn what to do, how to do it and what to say (in film script dialogue). In addition, there is a great section called Core Values and Parental Actions, pure gold.  Must reading. This book could have been called Answers To Teenage Problems In Five Minutes Flat. So, try the book we believe you will like it.

It is so well suited to the e-book format because it is the kind of book you read and then use in parts so it is actually more useful printed out and put into a binder, than it would be in printed book format. Another plus - you can reprint the pages if you wear one out ;)
